PUPPIES ARE AVAILABLE TO APPROVED RESCUES AT ANY TIME. Our funding for veterinary care is limited but we make every effort to send healthy dogs and pups on Rescue transports. We highly recommend taking your rescued/adopted dog or puppy to YOUR veterinarian as soon as possible after rescue/adoption as we often do not know their health backgrounds. For information about dogs or puppies or in order to adopt or rescue them, you may contact Volunteer WAYNE at: zebraswd@yahoo.com. THERE IS NO "PULL FEE" FOR APPROVED RESCUES.

Our GRReat Annual Yard Sale was a big success. Now we are gearing up for our Annual Fetch For Funds Raffle. Prize money has been donated by Coles Furniture of Jasper and by Quik Stop Lube and Tire in Piketon. We appreciate their support. Pike Pet Pals, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, helps pay for inoculations and basic veterinary care of Pike County Dog Pound dogs and puppies. It also maintains a fund for emergency veterinary care for Pike Pound dogs.
Tax deductible donations may be sent to Pike Pet Pals, Inc. 335 Valerie Drive, Waverly, OH 45690. If you want to help supply dog food and veterinary care for dogs at the Pike County Dog Pound, click on the Donate button above and give whatever you can afford via PayPal.
SPAY or NEUTER your pets. Every year HUNDREDS of unwanted puppies come into the Pound because dogs were not spayed or neutered. This is the NUMBER ONE way you can help! Spayed or neutered dogs stay healthier, have better temperaments and tend not to wander away.
LICENSING your dog helps us find YOU if your dog is lost or stolen. Licenses may be purchased at the Pike County Dog Pound or the Pike County Auditor's Office.
PLEASE ADOPT OR RESCUE from Pike Pound. We have many, many puppies and dogs coming in every day. We are a small, rural pound with very limited space. All of these wonderful dogs and puppies are in need of new homes or rescues as soon as possible. We try our best to hold dogs for as long as possible and make every attempt to place dogs and puppies into loving homes or rescues. We are very adopter and rescue friendly. WE NEED YOU TO ADOPT OR RESCUE! Please contact volunteer Wayne at zebraswd@yahoo.com or, in an emergency, call him at 740-289-4600 between 9 am and 9 pm.
Thanks to the city of Waverly for allowing us to use Canal Park for our Fetch for Funds event on July 23, 2011. Thanks also to Whitt Feed and Supply for donating dog and puppy food recently. The population at the pound has been growing and this extra dog food has been quite welcome. It's wonderful to have such a supportive community working with us.
Our adoption fee is $28.00. If you are a Pike County Resident your dog license is included in that fee . PAYMENT IS BY EXACT CASH ONLY. Extra fees may apply to dogs and puppies that have received veterinary care at the expense of Pike Pet Pals, Inc. . These donations are payable to PIKE PET PALS, INC. and are used to replenish the organization's veterinary care fund so that other animals can receive treatment when needed.
We are very Rescue Friendly. The Pound cannot guarantee the temperament or health of dogs and puppies and strongly recommends taking the adopted dog or puppy to the vet as soon as possible.
