The Hardin County Dog Warden's Office/Shelter is located in Kenton, Ohio, which is in the northwest part of the state. We handle K-9 statutes and regulations enforcement, dog license sales and pet adoptions as well as investigate complaints.
If we are in the kennel or out on a call or you have reached us after hours, please leave a message on our answering system that includes your name, phone number, and which dog you are interested in. We will return local calls promptly.
Adoption fee for dogs at the Hardin County Dog Warden's Office/Shelter is $62.00 and includes a current dog tag for the year, micro-chip, as well as a 7-way vaccine, deworming, and defleaing of the dog. Adoption fees can be paid with cash, cashier's check or money order. We do not accept credit cards or checks.. Donations of all kinds are accepted and appreciated especially to our Happy Tails Medical Fund.
Rescue groups who would like to pull dogs from the Hardin County Dog Shelter are welcome, but must be approved to do so. Pull fees are $20.00. Adoption fees can be paid with cash, cashier's check or money order. We do not accept checks or credit cards.
