The Hardin County Dog Warden's Office/Shelter is located in Kenton, Ohio, which is in the northwest part of the state. We handle K-9 statutes and regulations enforcement, dog license sales and pet adoptions as well as investigate complaints.
WE NEED HELP:
We currently have several great dogs and different breeds that need good, loving homes. We also have dogs with special needs that need someone special to care for them. Please contact us immediatly if you can help.
Hours of Operation:
9 am-5 pm Monday thru Friday
8;30-10;30am on Saturdays. If we are in the kennel or out on a call or you have reached us after hours, please leave a message on our answering system that includes your name, phone number and which dog you are interested in. We will return local calls promptly.
Adopting a Friend:
Adoption fee for dogs at the Hardin County Dog Warden's Office/Shelter is $60.00 and includes a current dog tag for the year as well as 7-way vaccine, worming, and defleaing of the dog. Adoption fees can be paid with cash, cashier's check or money order. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards. , We will also be offering micro-chipping in the very near future at no extra cost. Donations of all kinds are accepted and appreciated ,especially to our Happy Tails Medical Fund.
Rescue Groups:
Rescues who would like to pull dogs from the Hardin County Dog Shelter are welcome but must be approved to do so. Pull fees are $20.00 Adoption fees can be paid with cash, cashier's check or money order. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards.
To qualify as an "approved" rescue, please submit the following items to us:
*Proof of 501C(3) designation and/or State of Ohio kennel license
*Mission statement
*Copy of your adoption contract
*References on your organization..i.e...from vets, clients,...etc.
