We are a non-profit organization with our 501-3C. Your donations may be tax deductible.
We at Safe Haven appreciate any donations. We are in desperate need of dog supplies:
dog beds, dog food, collers, leashes, rugs, old blankets, and toys.
If you have any of these items that you would like to donate, we surely would be thankful to receive them.
For those who cannot adopt and would like to help monitarily, you can donate through our pay pal account at darrsm@aol.com. Remember that we are a non profit organization and any contribution can be tax deductable.
We rescue dogs from all kinds of cruelty. Some come from owner turn ins, some from local pounds and shelters, and some from puppy mills.
Our fees are different from dog to dog. We have to recoup the food and vetting fees and the cost of saving their lives. In some cases we have to purchase the freedom of the dogs. We think the dogs on our site are worth saving. Remember that saving dogs is not always cheaper. It is not about the money but about the dogs. NO dog will leave us without shots and a vet check. The dogs that are too young to be spayed or neutered will only leave on a spay/neuter contract.
Please think before filling out our application. We are an all volunteer group and it takes alot of time to go though the application process. If you are not serious or are unable to travel to pick up the dog of your choice, please remember that time is very valuable and we have so little of it to waste. All of our volunteers have jobs, families, and pets to take care of. We appreciate your consideration in this matter. Anyone lying on their application (e.g., not listing animals that they may own, etc.) will result in automatic denial of your application. Failure to complete the whole application--i.e., vet information, other animals you may have, etc.--we will not process. We have very little time to do our applications, so PLEASE BE SURE TO COMPLETE EVERYTHING.
We reserve the right to choose who adopt our dogs and puppies. It is not always first come first serve.
If interested in adopting one of our babies, please copy this application into an email and send it, completed, to safehavenadoptions@yahoo.com

Who We Are
We are a non profit organization. We do not have a shelter, so all of the dogs that we rescue are in foster homes. There are so many unwanted dogs and so few foster homes. I f you are interested in fostering please call Diane at 330-219-4514 or 330-392-3539. There are many dogs that need to be saved!!!!!
Adopting a friend
There is no greater joy than to help a dog that has been abused, neglected, or never loved. Our goal is to help as many dogs as we can, by finding them homes. These dogs deserve to be in a home where they will be loved. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please e-mail us an adoption application. All applicants that have been chosen to adopt will have to pick up the animal within 72 hours of notification. We are unable to hold any animal because of lack of space. We also do in home visits to insure that our dogs will have a safe and happy home.
