Our "Special Needs" Cats

Stay-A-While Cat Shelter is home to many cats of all ages and personalities. We also have many shy cats who only need a patient loving guardian who will give them time to adjust. These wonderul kitties deserve a chance in a loving home. If you are interested in adopting a shy cat that will need extra attention and patience, please contact the shelter.

News

Previously known as Bide-A-Wee Cat Shelter, the shelter had no option but to change its name in 2003. The name was the only thing to change- the house, the cats, and the same great care still remain.

Who We Are

Stay-A-While Cat Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in North Royalton, Ohio. We are a no-kill, cage-less facility that houses 70-100 cats. The shelter is a spacious, contemporary ranch home situated on a little more than an acre of land. Other than a few cages for new and sick cats, Stay-A-While is a cage-less facility where cats enjoy roaming free in large rooms. All Stay-A-While cats are given a medical check, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, given deworming and flea medication, and initial vaccinations. Cats at least 5-6 months of age are spayed or neutered before being put up for adoption. All funding for the shelter comes from the generosity of cat lovers, through donations, adoption fees, and various fundraising activities.

Stay-A-While accepts new cats only when vacancies occur. Please call the shelter during adoption hours to see if we have space available. We ask a minimum of a $20 donation for kittens and a $50 donation for cats if we accept them into the shelter. We do not accept cats 6 years of age or older. Please contact the shelter if you have further questions.
