Pickaway County Dog Shelter

Latest Update!!!

The wait is almost over! We have recently finished construction of our new dog shelter. We are in the final stages of completion and hope to be moved in very soon. Please stop by and see our brand new 42 kennel facility. The new facility will be complete with a bathing/grooming area, a medical room and a seperate quarantine area. The new shelter was made possible by generous donations by community members and Partners for Paws, a 501c3 non-profit group raising money for the shelter.

Who we are!

The Pickaway County Dog Shelter is a non-profit, county operated shelter that is funded only by revenue from the sale of dog tags and fees from adoptions of our furry friends.

Adopting a friend

Pickaway County Dog Shelter has many wonderful pets available for adoption daily. The cost to adopt one of our special friends is $45.00. This fee includes your dogs current year dog license and a free vet exam provided by participating local veterinarians. The vet certificate covers the cost of the office call, heartworm test and fecal test. The Shelter cannot guarentee the health of these dogs and strongly recommends taking your dog to the vet as soon as possible.
