Central Ohio Poms and More Rescue
AKA COPAMR
FIRST!!!! I would like to thank all of our adoptive parents with our loved ones out there! We love you all for loving our babies and caring for them. Please keep in touch with those updates as we love seeing how they are doing and love, love, love those pics!
I go in and check the ones occasionally that have sent me their websites and love to see them! Thanks to all of you and hope to see you again soon!
It is sad to announce that we will not be doing rescue for a while. My husband has had open heart surgery and two heart attacks since. Our grandson (who we are raising) has been diagnosed with epilepsy so it has taken us over a year to find a medication that may stop the seizures but we have at least another year to make sure this is the right one. We miss doing our rescue work but it is necessary to take care of family first. We are hoping to be back in a year or so. Please keep our family in your prayers! Thank you all for supporting our rescue. We hope to see you all again soon! Thanks Linda, Otis and Austin.
Update: August 20, 2008 Otis has been hospitalized several times since the last announcement. He has severe ostio arthritis along with his heart problems, diabetes and many other problems. We still help to find rescues when someone calls who needs a home or rescue for their animals and have taken in a couple to hold until we can get them to another rescue. We love animals too much not to help. Austin is finally on a medication that has taken away the seizures pretty much. He has not had one for a long time (knock on wood)
UpDate: November 19, 2008 I want to thank those that have sent us updates on our loved furbabies that are now with you. I love reading the updates and seeing their pictures. It gives me much joy to see how they are doing. Thank You again! No better gift than knowing how my babies are doing.
Otis has many problems and we are trying to get disability but so far have been turned down twice. Hoping now they will give him what he needs as things are very tight. We do have an attorney working on it. Austin had to be taken up on his dosages and has had one or two seizures since the last update. He is doing fine now, again. I think this is going to be a way of life for our grandson now.
We have taken in a 5 month old pom to adopt out. So yes, I am missing rescue alot! We are going to be posting her next month if the people that want her cannot take her. It feels good to be doing it again even if it is only one animal at a time.
update: March 2009 The 5 month old pom was adopted by my girlfriend! She and her husband came up to play cards and fell in love with her. She is now in a happy home and has a brother to play with. Their names are Keebler and Cookie!
Love you all!
Linda, Otis and Austin!
UPDATE: May 15, 2009 We are trying to do our share in helping with rescue now. We did get the disability and it will help us to help one dog at a time. We are now fostering a chi for my dear friend and we have an older pom. We will be taking in one dog at a time in efforts to find it a new home. We will not be able to take any that have expensive vet bills as we will not have the funds but will try to find a rescue for them. We would like to thank every one that has kept us in their prayers.
Please, if you need us, call us and we will try to help you find a rescue for your animal.
