Feline Friends Program

You can adopt two kittens or two bonded adults for the same adoption fee as one cat or kitten. We encourage adopting two kittens because it will curb some unwanted behavior that is quite normal with kittens and they can also keep each other company. In addition, studies have shown that cats with friends tend to be healthier and live longer.

Our Pets

See a pet you like? Print out its picture and bring it to the Humane Society. However, be sure to call ahead! We serve over 4,000 pets a year so our pets are constantly changing! We offer off-site adoption locations as well, be sure to stop by one of the stores listed below to meet some of our adoptable kitties!

News

We are a non-profit agency which relies 100% on donations from foundations and individual donors. We receive no government or national humane society support.

Animal cruelty and neglect investigations are conducted by our Humane Officer. If you witness an animal being abused or neglected or if you just think something isn't right please call us and file a report. All reports are confidential. If you call, you just might save a life! Some of our pets had been impounded by our Humane Officer and have gone on to be adopted into loving homes. One phone call can make a real difference in an animal's life.

Want to help unwanted pets, but aren't able to adopt? Consider volunteering! We are always in need of dependable, hard-working volunteers for various postions. Call 268-PETS for more information.
Some positions include:
Socializing and grooming to make the animals more adoptable.
Helping out at Offsite Adoptions - these are mostly weekends and involve traveling to different offsite locations and helping with adoptions, preparing/transport of the animals, and educating the public about our shelter.

Who We Are

Our vision is "Great homes for great pets!". We cooperate with other agencies to develop initiatives that have the greatest impact towards reduction of unwanted animals. If you or your group wants to help with our vision, please email us.
