We are a non profit small city shelter- and the medical costs are paid for by fundraisers and donations. As you can imagine our vetting is by far our biggest expense, we work extremely hard to raise the funds needed to provide medical care to all the animals that come to the shelter.
We work with Premier Spay & Neuter and Wellness Clinic, owned by Dr Metz. They have opened their doors to us and assisted us in providing excellent medical care to the animals at the shelter. THANK YOU DR METZ! We could not do it without you !!
Premier is a low cost spay and neuter and wellness clinic. They are located in Parma and easy to get to. Please consider them if you have a pet that need a veterinary. This is one veterinary you can afford!
Although we do not get nearly as many dogs as cats for adoption we do get some dogs in.
Dogs receive DHLP vaccination, Rabies vaccination, checked for heartworm disease and neutered before they are put up for adoption ( money permitting)
All cats and kittens are tested for FIV/FELV diseases. All cats receive their FVRCP and Rabies Vaccinations. They are also checked for ear mites, fleas etc and treated when needed. They are all also wormed.
We have all our adult cats spayed or neutered before going to their forever home. Kittens are neutered if they are old enough according to the veterinarian. We do our best to make sure you are getting a healthy pet at a reasonably low price. Our purpose is to make sure these abandon animals get a great FURREVER home!
Adopting A Friend
If you are interested in adopting a friend, Please call Monica at 216-524-4131 or Judy at 216-524-3940 from 8-5 weekdays, friends!
You may also email INDYSHELTER@aol.com for an adoption application. We try to place all our pets in compatible homes.
Our animals will go to their forever homes fully vaccinated, tested, altered(if old enough) and very loved.
We thank each and every one that helps to save animals - and especially those that help us out at our little shelter. Without your generocity and love and care we would not be able to do what we do for these poor homeless animals.
THANK YOU !
Who We Are
