WE ARE CURRENTLY FILLED TO CAPACITY AND ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY NEW CATS AT THIS TIME.
New Carlisle Friends of Felines was incorporated on January 27, 2003. We are a 501(c)3 organization and serve all areas in the Miami Valley. Our mission is to help control the feline overpopulation. ALL of our cats are spay/neutered prior to adoption.
The current members of the Board of Directors have been diligently working to establish the organization and to find a base of operations. We currently operate as a foster network. We are a volunteer only rescue in desperate need of a facility to house our felines in need. We are constently looking for loving volunteers and foster homes. Donations are always needed and appreciated. If you are someone who would like to help, please contact Donna at 845-3334 as soon as possible.
All new animals undergo a two-week quarantine period in order to verify health and to receive any necessary veterinary care. Their personalities are evaluated. All cats are vaccinated, checked and treated for fleas, ear mites and worms. Cats and kittens over 6 months of age have been tested and are FELV (feline leukemia) and FIV (felines aids) negative, and have been spayed or neutered.
All potential adopters complete a pet profile form to aid New Carlisle Friends of Felines in helping choose a proper pet for their lifestyle and environment. All approved adopters also sign an adoption agreement promising to provide a permanent indoor home for this pet. To secure this placement, New Carlisle Friends of Felines follows up on each adoption for six months. If for any reason the pet must be re-homed, the pet must be returned to New Carlisle Friends of Felines.
