Wanting to Thank everyone............
I need to Thank everyone who has been helping rescue the dogs out of Scioto County Dog Pound. Things are looking much brighter for the dogs entering the pound. We are getting the attention of some and have received Donations of Crate Pads from a wonderful woman in North Dakota. We also need to thank Carol for helping get the "Donate a bed Program" started.
PLEASE DONATE A KURANDA DOG BED TO SCIOTO DOG! Why? Kuranda beds are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. We find it lowers the stress of our kenneled dogs, but we do not have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed for a shelter dog, please

And most important I want to thank the people who are helping transport these dogs, without you they would not be here today!! Thank you so much.
We are wanting to start some fund raisers to make some major changes in the pounds.
We are in need of new puppy cages so puppies can be up off the floor and in a clean dry isolated cage.
If people could donate $5.00-$10.00 it would ad up quickly and we could have these cages in no time. Money donated directly to the pound goes into a general fund, this covers monthly bills such as elec, water and other things don't really go for the welfare of the dogs. Who We Are
We are a very rural kill shelter but we are the only shelter in Scioto County at this time! We do put dogs to sleep every Tuesday. IF you see a dog you like PLEASE DO NOT wait until Tuesday to call!!! We are full each and every week so we do Euth to make room for the new dogs coming in.
Please try to help us get these dogs/puppies out and into rescues or adopted into forever homes.
Adopting a friend
Adoption fee is $63.00 All dogs will be spayed/neutered prior to going to their new home. And don't forget, we do offer Shelter Care from Petfinder.com! We DO NOT HAVE transportation available, if you want a dog you need to make arrangements to get it picked up.
