URGENT...FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!
We are in need of people to foster puppies, dogs and kittens until permanent homes can be found. ARC will take care of all medical expenses. You need only supply food and love. Anyone interested in becoming a Foster please e-mail: email@example.com and a volunteer will contact you.
Who We Are
The Animal Rescue Center (ARC) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 no kill animal rescue organization made up of a network of foster homes (we have an adoption center). We are dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and adoption of domestic animals. Many of the animals we rescue are from high kill facilities. When we rescue an animal from a pound, we have very little background information on the animal. Most have been picked up as strays or "dumped" by previous owners. Each animal is assessed on an individual basis before being adopted. We cannot guarantee the health of any animal after adoption. Some animals, often due to severe infections, trauma, or disabilities are adoptable as "special needs" pets. These animals need special owners who are considerate of the pet's condition and/or limitations. Any animal that does not rehabilitate to the point of being adoptable or is significantly chronically ill is considered on an individual basis and often finds a home with an ARC volunteer. No animal is euthanized based on age, disability, Felv/FIV or heartworm positive results or medical needs. However, we are limited as to the number of animals we can care for due to the availability of foster homes.
Special Needs Pets
We have many pets that have disabilities and are looking for someone who will open their home and heart and give them the love they deserve. Some are blind or missing an eye, some have deformed legs but still get around. Some cats are leukemia or FIV positive. None of the disabilities is life threatening or inhibits these animals in any way.
