Upcoming Events
We are participating in WKDD"s Paws in the Park event on June 2nd from 11am-4pm. It is at Lock 3 park in downtown Akron. We will have some of our adoptable dogs with us. Please stop by to meet them and view pictures of our other adoptable pets. Our Featured Cat
Our featured cats are Smudge and Buddy. They are long haired white and brown males. Both are declawed and would love to find their forever home together. Please check our pictures out and come visit us to see if we would make a good match.
Our Clinic
If you or anyone you know has an animal, please consider using our hospital for all of your veterinary needs. The proceeds from the hospital make it possible for Precious Lives to continue working to rescue, treat and house all of our animals. We have a full service hospital and can treat anyting from traumas to routine shots. We have convenient hours and specialize in aggressive dogs and feral cats. Sponsor an animal
At Precious Lives we have many animals that are not able to be adopted at this time. We have animals who have been shot, stabbed and abused in many ways. Some of our animals are not adoptable due to medical problems and a few are not adoptable due to aggression. A few of our sponsor animal's photos are listed in our pet list. If you would like to be a sponsor for one of our special animals, please call the clinic at (330)633-3393. Sponsorship rates start at just $5 a month.
Who We Are
Precious Lives Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless animals in our community. We are the largest no-kill shelter in the area that runs completely on donations.
Adopting a friend
Please call our shelter at (330) 633-3393 or stop by to find out more. Cat adoptions $100. Dog adoptions START at $200 and go up depending on breed, medical care and special needs. All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, hwt, or fel/fiv test for cats,vet checked, bathed, hw and flea prevention, adopter bag of food as well as discounted medical care for the life of the adopted animal and all others in the home.
How you can help
Because we are a non profit organization we rely on donations to keep our animals housed, fed and healthy. Monetary donations are always accepted as are the following items: bleach, scoopable cat litter, wet cat food, paper towels, cleaning supplies, dog leashes and collars, dog and cat toys and treats, blankets, towels, old sheets and most office supplies. We also are in need of dog cages. Donations can be droped off at our clinic at 1474 Brittain Road, Akron, Ohio.
