WHO WE ARE

The Society for the Prevention Cruelty to Animals in Cincinnati was founded in 1873 as a non profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the animals in Hamilton County. We turn no animal away. We are advocates for animals...speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. We provide programs and services that encourage the bond between animals and people. We offer refuge, medical care, nourishment and a second chance for homeless animals. We protect animals from cruelty, neglect, carelessness, ignorance and irresponsibility. Our many and varied programs and services are directed towards these goals. The Humane work of the SPCA is solely dependent upon private donations and receives no income from tax dollars. Adopting one of our animals, helps all the animals, in so many ways.

ADOPTION INFO

All of our animal adoptions include: a veterinary examination, animals are tested for worms and a wormer administered if needed, preventative inoculations, animals are spayed or neutered and microchipped, dogs are tested for heartworms and cats are tested for feline leukemia. Total price also includes the county tag for dogs. We do our best to make sure that animals are healthy, but do not guarantee health. Please take your new pet to a veterinarian as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are now $20. All cats and kittens are now $10.
