All Species Adoption Program (ASAP)
Pet of the Month
It's too difficult to list a pet of the month as they all deserve a loving family and a wonderful life. It is up to us to see that their needs are met emotionally, physically and mentally. Their lives are in our hands. Are you prepared to accept that responsibility? If so, visit our pet list and all other rescue organizations on this site and others.
God Bless the animals and the people who care!
Who We Are
ASAP is a non-profit program working with individuals as well as our local animal/dog shelters. Our objective is to find loving, indoor homes for pets in need.
For specific details on a pet listed with us click on "OUR PET LIST," then click on the "name" link, and scroll down to "notes." This will direct you to the contact information for that specific orphan.
Provided is a phone number where more information can be obtained, and/or an email addy or url for the shelter or private individual that has that pet. PLEASE use the phone number (or email) listed with the pet you are interested in! This will save you a phone call as the number listed with that pet is where that furkid is presently located. I have no more information on them than is listed on this site, and the private owners or guardians can answer what specific questions you may have. If a contact source is not listed, please email or call us for further details.
If you have a furbaby that you are unable to keep, please call or email us today!
Although we assist local shelters we primarily work with individuals who want pets, cannot keep the pet(s) they have, or know of pets in distress in the Ohio area that need to be rescued.
If you are looking for a particular pet, please contact us and we will do whatever possible to find the right one for you. ASAP requires that a questionnaire and adoption contract be filled out by all potential adoptees, and we will periodically check in and see how everyone is doing.
We welcome all pet questions, comments, advice, information, etc.
ASAP is located in Carey, OH and we can be reached by email at tschmidt@udata.com

Adopting a friend
ASAP also requires that all pets be altered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, tested and treated for heartworm prevention, vet checked yearly or more often if needed, and that each pet is treated as a member of your family. If you have a special vet that you want to treat your new pet, we require a spay/neuter form from your vet within 30 days stating that the pet was altered. NO pets will live chained or tied outdoors, or in an outdoor kennel. These conditions, as well as mistreatment or neglect as decided per ASAP personnel will result in immediate removal of the pet from your home.
The Wyandot County Dog Shelter (Upper Sandusky, OH) charges - $6.00 for their dogs, and they do euthanize. They can be reached at 419-294-5408, and are open 8-10 a.m. M-F or by appointment.
More furbabies are incarcerated at the high-kill Zanesville shelter. Check the site below.
