THE BROWN COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER IS COMPLETELY SELF SUFFICENT AND IS FUNDED ENTIRELY BY DOG LICENCE SALES, KENNEL TAG SALES, LATE PENALTIES, CITATIONS, ADOPTIONS, OWNER GIVE UPS, REDEMPTIONS, MICROCHIPPING,EUTHANIZATION FEES, AND DONATIONS.
DONATIONS of certain items are needed: DOG CLIPPERS AND BLADES, BLEACH, DISH DETERGENT, WINDEX, PAPER TOWELS, DOG FOOD, DOG BONES, DOG SHAMPOO, WORM MEDICATION, FLEA AND TICK TREATMENT, LEASHES, WEEDEATER, AND MONETARY DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL

Who We Are
We are the county animal (dog) shelter, servicing all of Brown County, Ohio. OUR MAIN JOB IS TO SELL DOG TAGS, KENNEL TAGS, CONTROL DOGS THAT ARE RUNNING AT LARGE,STRAY DOGS, AND TO ENFORCE THE OHIO REVISED CODES FOR THE STATE OF OHIO, AND TO ISSUE CITATIONS WHEN APPLICABLE.
WE DO NOT TAKE CATS, NOR DO WE TAKE DOGS FROM OUTSIDE BROWN COUNTY.

Our adoption fee is $50.00 for all dogs or puppies, this includes a dog license.
We do take in owner give ups(dogs and/ or puppies)
from Brown County residents ONLY!!
The fee is $10.00 per dog or per litter.
