Who We Are

Buckeye Samoyed Rescue is affiliated with The Samoyed Rescue Alliance. Volunteers rescue dogs from all over Ohio. We have taken in dogs as young as "minus one week" (we rescued a mother Samoyed about to give birth) and we have taken in dogs as old as 15 years of age. Our dogs are fostered in our homes (in various areas of the state) where they can interact with people and in many cases, other animals. All are up to date on vaccinations, are spayed/neutered and any medical problems have been addressed.

Adopting a friend

Anyone interested in one of our rescues is welcome to contact us via e-mail at sammyland@verizon.net. We will be happy to forward to you a standard adoption application which lets us know what you are looking for in a dog. After we receive the completed application, we will answer any additional questions. If we do not have a Sam that would fit into your family at the time of application, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you when such a dog does come into our program. Our rescue is run entirely by volunteers. Visiting of adoptable Sams is by appointment only, and only after the completion of the application and a potential match is identified.
