PAWS Animal Shelter
We have new winter hours. We are now open on Sunday-Wednsday 9am-noon and Thursday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
We will be having Pages for Paws here at the shelter on March 29th. Come in and pick out a book for a donation!! All proceeds go toward taking care of the animals.
Thank you for supporting us when our furnace went out. You rallied around us and came through for the animals in a big way. Thank you to all who helped!
We are now recycling aluminum cans as an ongoing fundraiser. Save your aluminum cans and drop them off at Paws. You help the environment and the Animals at the same time.
We also recycle used paper. This includes newspapers, magizines, old school papers, etc. We use some of the paper as bedding for cages and the rest recylce with Paper Retreiver. We receive a donation for every ton of paper we have. It's a great way to help the animals and keep the landfills from filling up!
Pages for Paws- We will be holding book fairs in several locations through out the county. The books can be purchased at the book fairs by donations only, no pricing, just your support. This can be a great way to clean out your attic, basement, book shelves, kitchen or any place you have books stored. Your donations can make a difference! You may drop off your book donations at the shelter or contact us at 937-653-6233 to arrange a pick up time.
Purina's Very Best Pet Network-

Our shelter is a non-profit organization, surviving on our surrender fees, adoption fees, fund raisers, and donations from the kind people of the community. The staff here at PAWS include our Manager, Sam Santos, Jackie Needs and Lnda McDonald. Our objective is to educate and inform the community in the proper care of animals, and to keep a clean environment for our pets while they are waiting to be adopted.
We would like to thank all of the people who have adopted pets from our shelter and/or donated to us in any way. It is the people of the community that makes us what we are.
Adoption policy-
Our policy for adoptions are as follows: Dogs----$65 with a $35 refund after they are taken to the vet and spayed or neutered. Cats---$45 with a $30 refund after they are spayed or neutered. After our pets are adopted, the new owners can return their pets, with a full refund, within 30 days of adoption. After 30 days, no refund will be given.
