Adopting A Friend

All of PAWS animals for adoption are up to date on all vaccines, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested (dogs), combo tested (cats), microchipped. 

Adoption fees:

Adult Cats $75, Kittens (under 6 months of age) $90.

Adult Dogs $150, Puppies (under 6 months of age) $175

If you live in Bulter County you also need to purchase a dog license for an additional $14.75.


Who We Are

The Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a private, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter that was established in 1979. Our mission is to provide loving, humane care and housing for unwanted, abused, and neglected dogs and cats until permanent homes can be found. We provide medical and surgical treatment for all animals under our care. 

Come Visit Us

From the North

Interstate 75 south Exit 32. Turn right on St. Rt. 122. Turn left at the second traffic lights for Cincinnati Dayton Road/ Dixie Hwy. PAWS will be on the left side about 1 mile down the road. 


From the South

Interstate 75 north Exit 29. Turn left on St. Rt. 63. Turn right on Cincinnati Dayton Road/ N Main Street. PAWS will be on the right side about 2.5 miles down the road.
