We are in desperate need of help procuring operational funding, spay/neutering funding. We also need volunteers who are willing to donate approximately 4 hours per day cleaning pens, bathing dogs and answering calls. Also needed is someone to handle fundraising activities.
Who We Are
"Our Last Chance, Inc.", is a non-profit dog rescue dedicated to rescuing small to medium sized dogs that are of good pet quality from being destroyed. Most dogs rescued have exhaused the time allowed at the Animal Shelter and are scheduled to be destroyed. Therefore, "Our Last Chance, Inc.", truly is the last chance for many dogs to be adopted. All dogs rescued must be friendly and show good pet qualities.
Most of the dogs that are rescued by "Our Last Chance, Inc.", have either been dropped off at the Animal Shelter, are stray dogs that have no identification and have not been claimed by their owners, or have come from a breeding facility. Dogs rescued are both mixed breed and pure-bred, must be good natured and most are good with children. Many of the dogs have been pets that require more time than the owners have or are no longer wanted for various reasons.
One common trait, all need good homes and someone to care for and love them.
All money collected from adoption fees are used only for the health care of the dogs rescued. Monies for feed and other operating expenses are obtained by sponsorships, cash donations and item donations. At no time are adoption fees used for anything other than rescue cost and health care.
Adopting a friend
Adoptions are handled on an individual basis. Adoption fees are based completely on the medical cost of each dog. Average adoption fee is $175 ,this includes all shots and spaying/neutering. However, we also offer an option where the family adopting can take care of all medical/dental care and the adoption fee is than greatly reduced.
