Solutions to common reasons people give up their pets - Let us Help You Keep Them!
Who We Are
Paws For Rescue is a private rescue and adoption resource. We help homeless animals wherever and whenever we can on our own and through networking with other rescue. We help animals on death row as well as owner surrenders, strays and help others place animals as well. We help animals in desperate need who deserve a chance at life and a loving home.
If you are looking to adopt or surrender a pet, please contact us and we will help or guide you to the right place. For resources on feral and stray cats please visit the Long Island Cat Project website.
Adopting a friend
Potential adopters must complete an Adoption Application, provide references, agree to a home visit and upon approval, complete an adoption agreement. An adoption fee applies for each pet to help offset the costs of medical care, food and necessities required to help our adoptable pets.
Surrendering An Animal
If you have an animal you must find a home for please let us help you keep them! We are happy to provide solutions to many problems that often cause owners to give up their pets. Visit Wonder Puppy for resources and please feel free contact us for any information that might help. We understand that in these hard economic times it can be difficult to care for your pet but there is help! Many problems such as allergies, behavioral issues, training issues, finances, living accommodations are things that can be helped.
If you are certain you are unable to keep your pet and need help finding a new home for them please complete a Surrender Agreement. There is no fee to surrender a pet but donations are greatly appreciated to help with the costs of medical care, foster care and our rescue pets needs.
