Who We Are
Four Paws Sake is a no-kill organization dedicated to ending pet overpopulation. Our mission is to rescue from kill shelters, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. Additionally, we generate awareness in the community about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay/neuter programs and their important effect on the dog and cat overpopulation crisis in NYC.
All rescued animals are examined by a veterinarian, given vaccinations, spayed/neutered, treated for any health problems and rehabilitated if necessary. Our goal is to place animals into good loving homes for life.
Four Paws Sake has a return policy on all adoptions.
As we strive to place the appropriate dog in the appropriate home, a completed adoption application must be returned to us before an appointment can be arranged to visit with our animals. The adoption application helps us to learn more about you, your home, and your level of experience, if any, with dogs. Home visits, vet references, and contract signing (which stipulates the animal MUST be returned to us if you can no longer care for him/her) are also part of the adoption process. This is all to ensure the safety of the dog since we don't know you.
