Our New "Bring Home A Nanny" Program!!
If you are considering a young pup, we have a number of lovely older dogs, who are housebroken and have decent manners. Why don't you consider adopting or fostering one of them as a Nanny for your new baby?? Call us for details!
For information on any of our other dogs, please e-mail Nancy at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call her 518-251-5477 or 518-260-9901. Thanks!
Adopt a pet and save a life!
Who We Are
We are a small foster-based rescue in upstate NY. We bring dogs up from high kill shelters in the south and find them Forever Homes! An application is necessary and will include a vet reference check and a possible required home visit. Approved adopters will be required to complete our adoption contract and related paperwork.
Our adoption fee is $250 for puppies and spayed/neutered adults, and $200 for older dogs who are adopted out with a spay/enuter contract.
While the base of our rescue is in North Creek, NY, we also have dogs and puppies in foster homes at different locations across the state. Please check with the contact listed for each dog in order to identify their location. While dogs are generally adopted out of their foster location, in some situations, dogs can be transferred between locations to help adopters meet their ideal dogs!
Adopting a friend
If you are a responsible and conscientious dog owner, adopting with us is easy! We need a vet reference, an adoption application and a signed contract, stating that the dog you get will live inside, have proper vet care, (be spayed or neutered if this has not yet been done), and be walked for exercise at least once a day. We want to match our dogs up with great new owners, so please give us a call!
We do ask that you don't make this decision lightly. Some rescue dogs come with undesirable manners and may take awhile to learn how to be a good inside dog. We ask you for a 30-day commitment to let the dog get used to you, your home, family and other pets, and to learn some manners.
Some rescues use a 30-day trial, and we have given that a lot of thought, but we don't believe in taking a dog on a trial basis. We believe adoption is for life. Unless there is an aggression issue, adopting a dog means a commitment for life. (We screen for any aggression issues, but if there ever is one, of course we will take the dog/puppy back or help you solve the issue with a trainer.) I don't believe adoption means a trial and I want to adopt to families who have the same philosophy. If you share this philosophy, please give me a call!
Please Call Us!
Please call us to find out about our wonderful puppies and dogs! We have a wide range of young and young adult dogs; dog with high, medium, and low energy; dogs with long and short fur; dogs with spots (some with stripes!), and many, many dogs with big hearts and the tremendous capacity to fill your heart and home with love.
If you are not yet ready for a dog, please be considerate, and don't make an appointment to come see the puppies. My volunteers and I all have other obligations, and we don't have the time to spend with people who are not yet able to rescue a puppy or dog. If you are not ready yet, please wait until you are ready.
