Year 2011 has been a rough year for our rescue. The economy has hurt so many businesses and families, including animal rescue. Despite this...., we found some wonderful homes for almost 150 dogs/puppies. We are an animal rescue, but the families that adopted from our group are the true ANIMAL RESCUERS! As a rescue, we bring the unwanted, abused, starved, neglected dogs and puppies to our homes, provide them with good food, a warm bed and alot of love. YOU as AN ANIMAL RESCUER, continue where we leave off only it is for the next 10-15 years. You ARE THE ANIMAL RESCUER. UPDATE: Zoe will be going in January 10th to have her leg removed. Zoe came in from the shelter with an injury to her front leg. It has been broken and never healed correctly.

I am a purebred Yorkshire Terrier. Pardon my appearance, ...maybe you didn't recognize me. I've been so busy making babies and it's hard to stay pretty when you live in filth and never bathe. Maybe you know one of my children, there are hundreds of them out there in the world. I know not where. They were taken from me so young. I hope they have forgotten me, anyway, and this horrible place I can never leave, this tiny cage with its wire floor is my world, I have never left it, it is all I know. Is there something else? I know this cage, I know loneliness, I know fear, I know pain, I know sickness, I know hunger, I know thirst...I know I make babies. That's all I know. Is there more? Why are you here? I only know humans mean hurt. What do you mean help? What is Kindness? What is love? What is there beside what I know? Will you show me? Will you not forget me here? I want to know what else there is beside this hell I live in. Help me please, I can not help myself.

There is a bill in the US Congress that will help dogs in puppy mills all over the country, the PUPS Act. House-HR835, Senate-S707. So far 25% of representatives have signed on in support. Please use the link: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml to find your US (not state) Senator and Representatives and write or call, much more effective than email, to encourage them to support the PUPS Act. PLEASE REPOST!!! PUT AN END TO THIS INDUSTRY FOREVER! TOGETHER WE WILL BE HEARD! MAKE OUR GOVERNMENT LISTEN AND DO NOT STOP UNTIL PUPPY MILLS ARE OUTLAWED AND ANIMALS ARE PROTECTED! Be their voice and their guardian angel, end the suffering of these innocents, once and for all.



 

Meet Bradley! A great dog that loves other dogs and wants nothing more than to find a home of his own!



 

Colt needs to be seen to be appreciated. He is such a great looking puppy! He will lean into you to get attention and loves to snuggle. Colt will be a large dog.



 

Maddox is just an awesome little guy!



 

Miss Nattie! Way to cute... she is a tiny girl, will be a small to medium sized girl when full grown. She and brother Nash just love to play with each other. Foster mom can't stop smiling with these two in her house!



 

Nash is Natties brother; he has longer leg and more thin and sleek looking, Nattie has more shorter legs, both are wonderful puppies.

Gerty is an adorable black lab. She is the most beautiful medium length coat. She is going on 8 months old and is doing great here in foster care. Total Wiggle Butt.



 





Our Policy:  We are a no kill rescue. All are welcomed if space is available. We take the unwanted, the old, the young, the special needs and dogs or puppies that families can no longer care for. Most of the dogs or puppies that come here are starved, some abused, shy and just plain worn down due to years of neglect. Each one is carefully placed in foster homes which meets their needs. We pay special care to their diets, health and welfare. All dogs are spayed and neutered, heartworm tested, started on monthly preventatives, wormed and current on their vaccinations. Please email everydogsdreamwoerter@yahoo.com if you need to surrender your pet. If we have room, we will take them, if not, we can courtesty post your dog and help you try to find proper placement. We have a waiting list and as soon as we have openings, we can bring your dog into our rescue. PLEASE CALL 607-875-4175.  

Fees are as follows:

Altered dogs/puppies are $200.  Seniors (over the age of 6) are $150.  All dogs that leave our shelter will be altered.   Please see other information at the bottom of this page to find out more about the application policy and reasons your application would be declined.  Thank you for looking at our rescued dogs. 



TODAY I RESCUED A HUMAN


 


Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.

As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.

She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.

A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.
I rescued a human today.

Please consider adopting one, they make great pets!
The majority of the dogs on the 'urgent' lists at
high kill shelters are black mixes.
Please help us save more of these beautiful dogs!








Fill out an application, if approved, we would like to set up a time to do a meet and greet with the entire family, including any other dogs that you may have.  If all goes well at the meet and greet, the adoption will take place.  This can take 1 to 2 weeks depending on schedules and various events that we have going on. 



Reasons your application would be denied:
If you rent, we will not approve your application.  If you live near a busy road or within city limits, a fenced in area is required. Our dogs are inside dogs, they are not to be tied out to dog houses.   If you have small children under the age of 7 we might decline your application.  If they have been around dogs before, this will be taken into consideration.  If you are under the age of 21, do not have a job so you can support your dog or you are a college student, we will not adopt to you.    If you cannot afford dog food, cannot afford the vet bills or cannot give your dog the time and attention it will need, please do not apply for one of our dogs.  Thank you.
