Dedicated to...

This rescue is dedicated to Poohbear, Sara, Tinker, Andy and all of the other homeless rescues that forever change the lives of families. These dogs give love even when they have received none, they give devotion even after being thrown away, they give companionship even after they were abused. A rescue dog is the most special of all dogs because they have walked alone and have felt hardships that most of us will likely will never understand, and yet, are so willing to forgive and forget the past so that they can have a future. So many rescue dogs have touched the lives of so many, whether they became a search and rescue dog, a helper dog or a devoted member of our homes. We dedicate ourselves to helping homeless dogs and helping them find their way back into forever homes.

Who We Are...

My husband and I are dedicated to helping rescue dogs find homes. I have always been an avid animal lover and have tried to save everything with 4 legs since I was old enough to carry an animal home. After being given the opportunity to volunteer with a rescue, my husband and I decided to join in the efforts by forming our own rescue. We have been lucky enough to have found like minded individuals who share our need to try and right the wrongs done to our K-9 friends. We would love to engage the public to join in any capacity possible, whether it be by donations or fostering. We feel that while breeding does serve a purpose in the animal world, breeding has been abused by many for pure profit gain and so many dogs are killed each year because of this abuse. Millions of dogs are euthanized each year, while wonderful healthy purebreds, designer dogs, mixed breeds, pups and dogs are longing for a family to call their own again. Rescues and the adoptive homes recognize this epidemic and we can put a large dent in the euthanized dog population together by aiding those left behind on the streets, in shelters and those seized for abuse.

Adopting a friend

Rescue for Love requires that all individuals who would like to adopt be over the age of 22 and applicant must be on the lease or mortgage. Rescue for Love will not consider any application that is submitted for anyone other then yourself. Our rescues are not to ever be gifts or to be given away to any person for any reason. All applications submitted should be done so with full knowledge of all family members and with the intent to adopt if approved. Rescue for Love requires all members of the household (including anyone renting space in your home), and any dogs, will be required to meet with a Rescue for Love volunteer and the dog or puppy prior to adoption. No Rescue for Love dog or puppy is to be used for any other purpose other than an indoor family member. We do not agree with leaving dogs in yards, chained to trees, or to be used as guard dogs. Adoption should be a great experience and thorough thought must be given to the responsibility and changes that occur after adoption. We try and match great homes for our wonderful rescue pups and dogs and ask in return that you take the time to consider all aspects of responsible ownership, including training, behavior problems that can arise, future medical issues that can arise and any changes in daily activity that will occur with a new member to your household.

Volunteer Fostering

Our rescue is NOTa shelter. We are a group of volunteers that foster and socialize our rescued pups and dogs, and prepare them for home life. We do not have hours of operation, and ask that any person wishing to meet with any of our dogs or puppies fill out an application prior to setting a meeting.
