Our Featured Pet
Jacob and Jerimiah were rescued as kittens last year. They were adopted in January and abandoned by their owner so they are back at LI Kitties. They are very sweet boys, used to dogs and children. They are littermates and have been through a lot together, so we are going to try and keep them together. They tested negative for FELV/FIV, they are neutered and vaccinated. If you would like to meet these sweet young cats, please call Sharon at 631 987 8152.
LI Kitties would like to thank the Petco Foundation for their continued support.
We are proud to announce and welcome Dr. Karen Dowd DVM to our family at LI Kitties. Dr. Dowd offers house calls within 10 miles of the Remsenburg area. She is welcoming new clients. You can reach her at (631) 384-2452.
We need monetary donations to take care of our cat and kittens here.
LI Kitties won "SILVER" in Dan's Papers 2013 Best of the Best Pet Animal Rescue/Shelter.
Who We Are
We are a 501 (c) (3) non profit, no kill rescue organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless or stray cats and kittens. We foster, socialize when necessary, and then place them into loving homes. This also includes vet examination, de-fleaing, de-worming, testing for FELV/FIV and spaying or neutering each cat or kitten before putting them up for adoption. We work in cooperation with other rescue organizations that share our beliefs. We do not have a shelter, we just use foster homes. We have no federal or state assistance. We also offer advice and try to educate the public with the importance of spay/neuter.

ADOPTING A FRIEND
All of the cats/kittens we have for adoption have been vet checked, de-fleed, de-wormed, tested for FELV/FIV, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. There is an $85 adoption fee per kitten, 2 for $130 and $70 adoption fee per adult, 2 for $100 to help cover the cost of the veterinary bills. We have an adoption questionnaire which needs to be filled out prior to adoption and an adoption contract which must be signed at the time of the adoption. We also do a home visit prior to adoption. The adoption of a cat or kitten from LI Kitties is based upon the sole discretion of LI Kitties, it's Director and its Board members. Said entities have the right to refuse any individual or individuals an adoption for any reason deemed not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, including, but not limited to, the health and safety of the cat or kitten to be adopted.
