We are not funded by any group or agency, we rely on minimal private donations. Our money comes out of our own pocket & our adoption donations go straight to the Vet to help pay off our outstanding $3,000+ account balance. If you would prefer to donate to our Vet please call in your donation to City Creatures Animal Hospital at 716-873-7000. Thank you!

We also have weekly 50/50 splits at Club Infinity on Main Street in Clarence every Thursday night for Howdee's Country Night! Doors open at 6PM with lessons. After 8PM you can line dance the wee hours away and have plenty of fun!

Who We Are

We are a small, all breed, home based, non-profit rescue dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters. We do love our Beagles!

All of our dogs are evaluated as a part of our own home. We do use a doggy door so we can never guarantee they will "ask" to go outside. Simple house training methods will be provided upon request so your new dog can adjust to your schedule.

If our dogs want to be on the furniture it is ok with us! We feel these dogs have had a hard enough life and should be offered all the comforts possible. If you do not want your dog on your furniture or bed, please do not adopt from us. We do not want our adopters to think they can retrain a dog not to do this. Besides, most love to cuddle with you.

Most of our dogs are crate trained but we usually only use the crates for their meals unless it is a young dog who still enjoys chewing our belongings! We will let you know if a dog is still in this puppy habit.

We do adopt to families with children but require the children to be over 8 years old in most cases.

We require a secure, complete fenced yard. But these are house dogs, not outside dogs or guard dogs. We expect they will be a full part of your family for everyone's enrichment.

If you are adding a second or third dog to your family we do encourage you to feed your dogs separately to avoid any problems.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on immunizations & heartworm tested prior to adoption. They are on current heartworm and flea prevention. Our dogs are fed high grade food without wheat or grains.

We may have young, healthy dogs or special needs, seniors, and blind dogs.

Adopting a friend

We make every effort to match our dogs to the appropriate forever family. It is not always a "first come, first serve" adoption process.

The FIRST step is to complete an adoption application. Email Us to request an application. We will then arrange a home visit & a "meet & greet" with the dog and all members of their potential family.

If for any reason at any time you need to give your dog up, we require they be returned to us immediately - we will pick them up that day if at all possible.

If you would consider sponsoring Vet care, medications or food for one particular dog or cat, we will add your name & our gratitude to that pet's adoption page.

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.

The harder to place pets need you & give you so much love in return.

Please never buy from pet stores or puppy mills. Check out rescues carefully. Ask for references. They should require an adoption application, a home visit, an adoption contract & an adoption donation. The pets should be altered & up to date on immunizations, heartworm checked & in good health. If you prefer a specific pure-bred breed, go to the www.AKC.org website, find the breed you are interested in & go to their rescue page. This is a wonderful information page about adopting a rescue dog: http://www.crlne.org/storiesquotesandfyis/.
