Please Make a Tax-Deductible Donation For the Dogs and Cats

Sai Sai is an older dog but can you really resist this face? A small, sweet lap-dog who should be in a home, not a cage.
He needs you !!! Can you rescue this little fellow?
Antonio Antonio, our young pup, has a bad skin rash and needs medicine. Mindy Mindy is a friendly senior who deserves compassion in her golden years. She needs a kind person willing to care for her. If that's you please let us know. All Mindy needs is a small area to relax. She takes very short walks. Kitties Kittens are very susceptible their first few weeks of life to illness. Your donations allow us to buy medicines to keep them healthy

The ACQ is asking for your assistance in raising money for the ever growing medical bills that allow us to help our homeless dogs and cats.
Adoption fees don't cover many of the expenses and one injured or sick pet is a major setback financially.

Please help and make a tax-deductible gift to the animals at our private site or send a check to our postal address found below. Use the link below to make an easy, fast and secure donation via Credit Card and THANK YOU!!!!

We Remember Those Who Have Left Us and Never Will Be Forgotten

Shadow Shadow passed away 12/20. At 13, he was abandoned here a month earlier. His owner didn't provide for him in his final days but we loved him in the little time we had together. Max Max passed away on 1/12/09 just a few months after his loving owner passed away. Max is terribly missed by his foster dad. Sandy Sandy was as sweet as can be little guy. Adopted last year, his owners called 0n 3/14/09 to say he had gotten out of the house and was later struck and killed by a car. We miss you baby...

Who We Are

We are a not-for-profit "no-kill" boarding facility that has no government funding, and exists solely on the low cost community services we provide and the donations that come from animal lovers like yourself.

The mission of Animal Center of Queens, Inc. (ACQ) is to educate and inform the public about responsible companion animal ownership, the importance of early training, the necessity to spay and neuter to prevent pet overpopulation which leads to abandonment, cruelty, and euthanasia, and that pet ownership is a lifetime commitment.
The ACQ operates a boarding facility in Queens County in New York City and is a member of the New York City Mayor's Alliance for Animals. We help homeless and displaced companion animals with temporary shelter, food, human companionship, medical care, low cost spay-neuter services through local veterinarians and behavior training until a suitable home can be found.
ACQ also provides low cost companion animal behavior training at our facility as well as doggie day-care and puppy head-start.

We provide dogs with meals, daily walks, exercise and play time, medical attention and grooming. We feed, clean litter boxes and get medical attention for the kitties. We alter (spay/neuter) all our animals as part of the adoption process.

We have and can always use volunteers who come and provide some TLC and human companionship to our animals while they wait to be adopted. We always welcome mature and responsible individuals who would like to volunteer with the dogs, cats or both. We need volunteers for mornings and afternoons, any day or time you can come is very much appreciated. The ACQ is very thankful to all of our volunteers and your donations.
