The Humane Society of Schuyler County is always seeking donations and volunteers! We are a non-profit funded by you! Any amount is welcome, and we also always need supplies, including old towels for our spay/neuter clinic. If you would like to donate some money or some time, give us a call.
We are especially in need of loving foster homes this kitten season. Please help if you can. The homeless animals are counting on us.
Who We Are
The Humane Society of Schuyler County is an all-volunteer organization promoting responsible pet ownership locally. Our objective is to address pet overpopulation and help ensure pets have loving forever homes.
Adopting a friend
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Schuyler County have been vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and have already been spayed or neutered. They have been tested for Felv/FIV, and have been seen and evaluated by a veterinarian. We make sure all of our adoptable pets are healthy.
In order to adopt, you must complete an application, which is reviewed by our adoption committee. We carefully screen all prospective families to make sure there is a good fit. Our animals have been fostered in a home environment and evaluated before being available for adoption.
An adoption fee applies to cover the cost of vaccinations and spay/neuter, as well as the cost of any other vet care.
If you are unable to adopt a companion animal, we welcome donations toward the cost of our adoption program. Sponsoring a homeless animal is a great way to make a difference in the life of a pet.
