Our Adoptable Pet List

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Until further notice we will not be able to take in any more animals. This is due to a number of years of insufficient donations and a corresponding increase in demands for help. We simply do not have the funds to pay our Vet bills or to feed and care for the cats that we still have. If you need help placing an animal you will have to call your local Vet, your local town shelter, visit www.Petfinder.com or try these larger shelters: North Shore Animal League at 516-883-7575, Bide a Wee at 631-325-0200, Kent Animal Shelter at 631-727-5731, Save a Pet at 631-473-6333. We are very sorry but, until we receive substantial donations we cannot continue to help the animals in need. Thanks to EVERYONE that has supported us through the last 25 years as we were able to rescue, nurse back to health and adopt out approximately seven thousand animals. PAWS

We still have several young and adult cats that have been patiently waiting for their furr-ever homes. PLEASE consider adopting one. If you are interested in any of our cats or have any questions, email us! Wearepaws@yahoo.com

Please keep us in mind, as we are still in need of donations to care for those cats that we still have in foster care. If you are interested in donating, you can visit our website, SAYVILLEPAWS.ORG and follow the prompts or by check and mail it to the address below. Thank you considering donations.

Cats have a special way of warming our hearts and mending our souls when we are worn down. They also keep us young and energized with their amazing personalities. Older cats have a hard time finding a home because that cute, little kitten, playing with the stuffed mouse, creates such spectacular show that is impossible for an older cat to touch. Older cats are filled with wisdom and love and make an addition to any family more complete. Please consider adopting one of our older friends that have waited so patiently for the opportunity to go to a warm, loving home.

All About Us!!!

P.A.W.S is a non-profit organization based out of Fire Island and Sayville, New York. Our rescue league is made up of all volunteers and paid for entirely by donations from the community. We rescue stray cats and kittens, nurse them back to health, and spay/neuter them, if old enough. When they are ready, we adopt them out to loving and caring families. "Rescue is immediate action, adoption is permanent love." saying by a P.A.W.S volunteer 2004

We regret that we cannot accommodate out-of-state adoptions due to our adoption procedures. For all adoptions, we require to meet in person and observe the cat with you. All potential adoptive families must fill out an application and there is a waiting period as we contact your references. If you already have a cat or dog, remember... All Pets need a friend!
