We are featuring Phineas the Rat!!!
Phineas was brought to us in a bird cage! His owner couldn't care for him any longer. He is a year old now, but he is quite active. He loves hammocks to sleep in and riding around on someone's shoulder. He has been waiting for someone to love him and take him home for months now. We are a non-profit organization and rely on public donations to help the animals and rescues in our care. If you'd like to send a donation to Life Long Tails on behalf of all the rescues please send a cash or check donation to 4 Wellworth Place, Cheektowaga, NY 14225. If you are writing a check please make it out to Ray and/or Rachel Murphy and then make a note on the bottom of the check , Life Long Tails- donation. We are currently not incorporated as a Non-profit organization ( we are working on becoming incorporated) we cannot cash any checks made out to Life Long Tails at the bank. Any and all donations are not tax deductable we are working on becoming 501 c(3) tax exempt.

Who We Are
We are an organization committed to giving small pets a chance at life & filling it with love & happiness.
We care for animals who are abandoned, or their owner's can no longer care for them, or their owner cannot afford their vet bill's or deal with a medical problem.
Animals we can care for include:
Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Mice, Rats, Chinchillas
Ferrets, Sugar Gliders, Degus, hedgehogs, Birds & Reptiles, amphibians, hermit crabs,etc.
When someone has an animal in need they may choose to surrender the animal to our care. With proper veterinary care, and 100% health we then offer them for adoption.
We also specialize in caring for these small pets with special needs and/or disabilities. We have cared for and still do care for small pets with paralysis, amputated legs, blindness, neurological disorders, head tilt, etc.

Please call us at (716)634-2462 or e-mail us at rachel@lifelongtails.org about adopting any of the rescues. We do tend to check our e-mail more often then phone messages , so we will probably get back to you faster through e-mailing.
If you are looking to surrender a pet please contact us with the same phone number or e-mail address. We do not require a surrendering fee and we will not pass any judgement. We also do not ask any questions. We are understanding that things happen, and decisions need to be made. All we want is for the pet to remain safe and healthy , we will help with that and take care of finding a great, loving home.
