Who We Are

Community Cats is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation dedicated to all aspects of cat rescue in northern Westchester County. We specialize in trap, neuter and return of feral cats, kitten and adult cat rescue and adoption, and home-to-home placement of family pets.We rely entirely on donations to continue our work, and we provide outstanding care to the animals we serve.

The heart of our operation is our TNR (trap, neuter and return) program. Through our spay/neuter and vaccinate program, adoption outreach and daily feedings, these animals are leading happier, healthier lives. Feral cats are returned to their colonies after surgery and vaccinations. Kittens and tame adult cats are taken into foster care until permanent homes are found.

We have a new program that provides food and low- cost veterinary care for elderly local residents on fixed incomes, enabling them to keep their best friends. Donations are needed for this program. Both cat food and funding are gratefully accepted.

We also help owners locate lost cats and assist people who feel they must find a new home for their cat.

Donations Needed

Kitten season is here. We care for dozens of kittens in spring and summer and always welcome donations of food, soft beds, and kitten milk replacer. We also welcome foster homes for our rescued kittens. Contact us for more information.

Volunteers Needed

Community Cats needs volunteer feeders for our area's homeless cats. We provide training and food. In just an hour to an hour and a half a week, you can provide a life-saving service to the homeless cats of northern Westchester.

Please contact us at 914.234.4209 or email communitycats@yahoo.com for more information. Community Cats president Penny Berk and a litter of five adorable kittens were featured on the Martha Stewart Show on Oct. 12th, 2005. Needless to say, we had lots of potential adopters for the litter!
All were adopted into wonderful homes. Thanks Martha!
