Who We Are

Central New York Spay Neuter Assistance Program (CNY SNAP)is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping curb the pet overpopulation by offering low cost spay and neutering services. Our mission is to make a difference in our community by reducing the overpopulation of cats and dogs in the Central New York area. CNY SNAP is a grass roots organization made up of an entirely volunteer workforce. Weekly spay and neuter clinics are performed at the CNY SNAP clinic in Cortland, NY. The clinics are held in conjunction with SOS (Shelter Outreach Services) who provide the veterinary resources necessary. For more information about SOS and their services please visit: www.shelteroutreachservices.org Clinics accommodate 20-30 cats and dogs, services are offered at low cost for feral cats, barn cats, strays, and low income households. If interested in having your pet spayed or neutered, please call us at 607-756-2561 for an appointment. We are also looking for local businesses to showcase our homeless friends who are looking for a permanent home.

Adopting a friend

Our adoption process consists of coming in and meeting with one of our adoption counselors. Filling out our adoption application and a vet reference check. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals you can request an adoption form by sending an email to: cnysnap@hotmail.com, with the subject of "adoption request." Some of our adoptable pets can be seen at PetSmart in Marshall's Plaza on Erie Boulevard in DeWitt.

Cleaning Supplies: Simple Green, Bleach, Windex, Spic& Span, Dish Detergent with Bleach, Laundry Detergent, Lint Sheets, Plastic Spray Bottles, and Paper Towels.
Linens: Towels(any size), Sheets, Blankets, and Comforters
Office Supplies: White File Folder Labels, 3 Hole Punched 8.5x11 Lined White Paper, Scotch Tape, Pens, Pencils, Pencil Sharpener, Plain White Note Pads, White Out, Paper Clips, Stapler, Staples, Scissors, Manila File Folders, 8.5x11 White Copy Paper, 8.5x11 Hanging File Folders
Miscellaneous: Dish Pans, 9x9 Foil Pans, Newspapers, Cat Food Dishes, White Tall Socks (hole free please), White Rice, Cat Litter, 1pt. Bottles of Water, Cotton Balls, Toilet Paper, Heavy Duty 30 gallon white or black Garbage Bags, Large Cortland Blue Bags, Cat Toys, Litter Pans, Canned Cat Food (not shredded or chunked please)
