ResQ Connection is a small home based rescue operated out of our home. We rely strictly on monetary donations & donations of items for sale on eBay, Flea Markets & Yard Sales, and the balance of funds comes from our own personal monies. ResQ Connection typically specializes in small breed, adult, and sometimes special needs dogs along with a large number of Herding Breed dogs.
We do not have the facilities at this time to house cats.
We are now taking in a few small dogs. Our facility still needs much work and we need donations to get us off the ground in our new location. Please take a look at our wish list to see if you can help with anything. Please do not call us with requests to take cats. We just do not have the facilities for them. We also are quite limited on taking large dogs right now as we only have one large run at this time.
All dogs will be completely vetted. They will be heartworm tested and on preventative. They will have had flea treatments and will be on Advantatix. They will have had their distemper combo vaccine and rabies vaccine. They have had a fecal test and will have been treated for any parasites. They will have been spayed or neutered. All this takes money so please be prepared to make a donation of up to $250.00 depending on the dogs breed/size and age. Believe me when I tell you most dogs that we vet cost us more than this amount of money. Without getting this type of adoption fee we would not be able to continue to do what we do.
You must have a good checkable vet reference. No vet reference, no dog. Once your application has been processed you will be invited to visit to see if it is a match. WE DO NOT HAVE A PUBLIC SHELTER. WE DO NOT HAVE VISITING HOURS.
You will need to provide a reachable contact for your landlord or proof of homeownership.
When dogs are initially posted on petfinder.com we typically receive large volumes of email and calls. We work full time in addition to doing this so please be patient with us. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Usually we wait until we have a selection of applications for a particular dog and then process the applications all at one time. This process takes time. If you need to get a pet in a week, please don't apply we just don't get you processed that fast.

We would like to see you keep your pet. Having training problems or behavior problems? In the spring we will be offering basic training classes to help owners keep their dogs in their homes, instead of surrendering them to shelters. Interested? Give us a call for more info.
WISH LIST
We desperately need some type of pump to pump rain water from barrels to be used to wash down the kennel runs.
If someone has a small pressure washer that they no longer use that would be a great asset to kennel cleaning also.
We need a SMALL hot water heater that would heat some water for washing dogs out in the kennel.
