WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT?? Our pets are in foster homes, not shelters. They are socialized with kids, cats and other pets. They get one on one attention, walks, car rides and training. Our pets recieve top care. They get excellent nutrition from Iams or Eagle Pack foods. They get Nupro on top, loaded with vitamins, older dogs get Nupro Joint formula. They get monthly heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive. They recieve age appropriate vaccines and worming. Adults are altered prior to adoption and heartworm tested.

Our adoption fee is $250 for most dogs or puppies. If to young to be spayed or neutered a deposit is required also. Some adoption fees are higher, depending upon the cost of rescueing the particular pet. No personal checks. If you are looking for a senior or special needs dog, please email for special rates.

WHERE OUR PETS COME FROM
Our pets come first from local people who can not keep there pets. Sometimes for financial or health reasons. Often just because they no longer want there pet. So before adopting please think long and hard if you can make a LONG TERM commitement. When we have room we often rescue from southern kill shelters. Unlike other rescues, we don't limit our rescue efforts to puppies only. We take the Mom's with the pups. We take adult dogs, seniors and special needs. Our pets are quarentined in there foster home for at least 14 days prior to adoption. This is to insure they are healthy.

Who We Are
Peaceable Kingdom Animal Rescueis a no kill 501c3 organization. We take in stray and unwanted animals. It is our belief that all life is is equally important, not just humans. We believe it is time for human beings to take responsibility for the animals we tamed, overbred, and abandoned. We help animals of all types and ages. Please check out our seniors. Who We Are Not
We are not law enforcement. If you suspect animal abuse you must report it to your local Animal Control Officer or SPCA. We can not solve the local pet overpopulation. We are not made of money and resources. We cannot possably take in every animal we are asked to take! We are volunteers trying to save lives. If you want to help, start by spaying and neutering your own pets!
Adopting a friend
All adopters must be over 21 years of age and own their own home. People with excellent references who rent may sometimes adopt. We require references, and we insist on a home visit. On occasion we do adopt out pets out of area and send a friend from another rescue to do the home check. All adult animals who leave this rescue are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. PLEASE DO NOT SEND EMAILS OR CALL UNLESS YOUR SERIOUS ABOUT ADOPTING.

Abandoning animals any place is illegal. If you have an animal who needs to be placed we may be able to help, but you must call ahead. We may refer you someplace else.
This rescue is run by volunteers who have jobs and families. We will do our best to serve you quickly. Also, be aware, you must call and make an appointment as most of the animals are in foster homes.
