Who We Are

PPRA (Precious Pugs Rescue and Adoption) is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization dedicated to helping pugs. PPRA was started in January 1999 by the Malgieri family to help pugs in need. Since its inception in January 1999, PPRA helped 31 pugs. In 2000, PPRA helped 44 pugs. In 2001, we helped 93 pugs. In 2002, we helped 70 pugs. To date, we have helped over 300 pugs! We network with other pug and non-pug rescue organizations in the Northeast and across the U.S. Additionally; we have helped pugs as far away as Alabama and Oregon!! PPRA has many members located throughout the tri-state area (NY/NJ/Conn) and some members in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont and Virginia.
