This was case #934 at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. I could bareley get her to pick her head up to look at me!

Who We Are
The mission of,"Kat Connection" is to prevent the destruction of cats/kittens slated for
euthanization by local county-operated animal shelters. The mission of, "Kat Connection" is
achieved through, "Kat Connection" faciltating the rescue and adoption of the cats/kittens from
these animal shelters. Cats/kittens that are rescued from these shelters are provided with
medical attention, including spay/neuter and then are placed in foster care, boarding
facilities and then pet stores until they are adopted.

Adopting a Friend

The word, "URGENT" signifies that this cat is still in a local town shelter that it might be
euthanized due to lack of space, illness or temperment. If you have any interest in one of these
cats please e-mail or call Lucille immediately! These cats may be seen at the shelter and adopted
directly from the shelter or through Kat Connection depending on circumstances and availability.
Cats that do not have the word, "URGENT" are cats that we have been able to provide space
for in one of our pet stores or foster care locations. These cats are seen by appointment
after being approved by phone or application.

Come Visit Us!

We do realize that not everyone can go into a town shelter. Please realize that it is the purpose
of,"KAT CONNECTION" and we will try to make your experience as painless as possible. We spend
each day visiting the shelter to get to know the cats we are advertising so that you will know alot
about the cat of your choice before you even walk in. Please keep in mind that if you adopt from one
of our other locations you are still rescueing directly from the shelter because you freed up space
for us to go in and pull one more! So choose the cat of your liking, not its location!! You are
still helping us make room to go in and save one more!!

We need donations of cat food, litter, money and time! . . . Old quilts and blankets appreciated . . . Foster Homes Needed - Please share your home with a needy kitten . . . Volunteers needed. . .
