"Give Me Shelter" Golf Tournament

The Central New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (CNYSPCA) will be hosting our second annual “Give Me Shelter” Golf Tournament on August 4, 2008 at The Woodcrest Golf Club. We are very excited about this years fund raising event. All proceeds raised at this event will be utilized to support the CNYSPCA and the many programs they offer such as; sheltering, adoptions, education, spay and neuter, cruelty investigation, animal care and the anticipated construction of a new, state of the art facility.

Registration on the 4th - 9:00am -9:45am

Shotgun Start - 10:00 am SHARP

Costs include: Green fees, golf cart, Hole in One Contest, Lunch, Dinner Buffet, Prizes.

Awards will be given for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, Longest Drive (men), Longest drive (ladies), Closest to the hole (men), Closest to the hole (ladies).

The CNYSPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and placement of animals in the Central New York area. Our animals come to us strays, some are surrendered, others are seized by our Cruelty Investigators.

The CNYSPCA has an aggresssive adoption program, placing over 1,000 pets each year and reuniting hundreds with their families. We work with the community through our education programs, visiting schools and youth groups to name a few. We also travel to nursing homes, bringing smiles to those who are there.

Our shelter receives funding from a variety of sources: donations from the community, fundraising events, surrender and adoption fees, a county grant which subsidizes a portion of our cruelty investigations, education, and spay/neuter programs .

The CNYSPCA is not affiliated with the ASPCA or any other animal welfare organization.

Adopting a friend

The CNYSPCA is dedicated to placing animals in a loving home. We have adoption counselors on staff to work with each potential adoptee. All of our animals are spayed/neutered before they leave our shelter as well as providing them with shots and micro-chipping. If you see an animal you are interested in adopting you must fill out an application first at the CNYSPCA . Applications may take 24-48 hours for approval.
