Hello! My name is "Kibbles!"
Precious Kibbles was with us last year, and she was adopted in July. However, her owner couldn't care for her anymore, and so returned her to us. Back then, the gray on top of her head almost resembled a Mickey Mouse image, but now she has seemingly lost most of it, though there is still a touch to make her even more adorable! A real sweetheart, she has a beautiful coat and playful, happy spirit. Please come see Kibbles, and consider taking her into your FOREVER home!
If you would like more information on any of our cats available through the Mohawk Commons location, please contact us via: Email Petfinder Kitties!, or copy this address for later: PetfinderCats@gmail.com.
The purpose of the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady is to address pet overpopulation and animal suffering through education and appropriate action, to enhance human/animal relationships, and to provide care to animals in need.
Adopting a Friend
We place healthy and temperamentally sound animals in responsible homes with the expectation that adopters will provide quality and lifelong care. Our adoption process includes an application and contract detailing the kind of care we expect for every animal.
Donations
The APF is an independent, nonprofit organization. This means that we do not receive any funding or tax support from the city, county or state. We are funded only by donations and fees for our services, such as adoption. Please help us to continue to work for the animals by becoming a donor.
Gifts of food and supplies for the animals and the shelter are always appreciated. Your donations free funds budgeted for these items to be used in other important ways.
Wish List
We no longer have a need for donated DRY cat or dog food. Through the Hills Science Diet shelter program, we receive all the kibble we need.
If you do have pet food you would like to donate to someone in need, contact the Schenectady Inner City Ministry (SICM), 839 Albany Street, Schenectady. Their phone number is 346-4445.
Our updated wish list can also be found on our website here.
