Congratulations to our Pet-Naming Contest winners!
Congratulations to Lisa Knauf and Steven Smith for winning a first-edition copy of
Chris Grabenstein's book ROLLING THUNDER.
Lisa's cat name, "Gizmo", and Steven's dog name, "Puck", were drawn as the winning entries. These pet names will be included as new characters in the ROLLING THUNDER.
The drawing was supervised by our very own Parker, an Artemis cat. We thank Parker for taking the time away from his busy schedule.
Thanks very much to everyone who entered. We raised $1,000 for the care of the Artemis pets! Thanks also to Chris Grabenstein for giving everyone the opportunity to support our work.
Who We Are
The Artemis Project is an animal welfare organization. Our goal is to alleviate the suffering of New York city's animals in crisis.
We strive to control and reduce the number of strays by using an approach known as TNR. Animals are trapped, spayed/neutered, and then either re-released or placed in loving homes.
We work exclusively with Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital to provide medical care and temporary housing for the animals we help.
