Little Orphan Animals
April 2008 marks 15 years of rescuing, rehabilitating and finding loving permanent homes for animals in our community. We are a non-profit, all volunteer, no-kill animal rescue group. Little Orphan Animals has approximately 40 volunteers who do everything from cleaning and feeding, fostering, adoptions, fundraising, administrative work, vet runs, manning of thrift shop and more. Our animals come to us in many ways - someone has moved an abandoned their animal, a family member is highly allergic, an owner has passed away or needs to move to a nursing home, someone has stray kittens in their backyard. LOA will take them in, provide veterianary attention and a loving foster home until a permanent home can be found. We couldn't do it without you! LOA relies solely on private donations and our fundraising efforts to care for our orphans. Thank you for your support.
Our adoption days are held every Saturday in Petsmart in the Cortlandt Town Center in Mohegan Lake from 11:30 - 4:00. Cat and kittens (when available) are brought in for our adoption days but everyday is adoption day at Petsmart - we have cats continously displayed in the Luv-a-pet center - all waiting for loving, permanent homes. Located at 896 Washington Street in Peekskill, NY. Our hours are Monday-Saturday 11:00 - 4:00. Something old, something new and something for everyone! Collectibles, jewelry, books, housewares and more! All proceeds go to animal rescue. Donations of new and gently used "sellable" items are accepted. GIANT PENNY SOCIAL! Our biggest fundraiser of the year is here! Our penny social will be held on Saturday Nov. 1st at the Cortlandt Community Center on West Brook Dr. Doors open at 5 p.m. Calling starts at 6:30. Penny, bonus and super bonus tables, 50/50, basket of cheer and refreshments. Hundreds of prizes! Fun for the whole family. Admission in $1.50 (includes 100 penny tickets). Come out and join us and support the animals!
