"Alot of dogs are sad when they are at a shelter or a rescue, but for me, ending up at a Rescue has been a real gift. It took the volunteers a little while to figure out my personality, but the bottom line is, I"m just a girl who wants to have fun! I absolutely adore everyone, but I"m still getting used to being around other dogs, so would not be a good choice for families that have other pets. BUT, if you want a one and only, I might be the perfect choice. I'm very playful and so much want to please my human friends so I learn very quickly. I do want to mention, that I am small, kind of beagle sized. If you are interested in meeting me, just call 716/326-PAWS, I'll be waiting!"

Our Pet List

Description
Our mission is to rescue and provide sanctuary for stray and abandoned dogs and puppies and do our best to secure for each of them permanent, loving responsible homes. To promote respect and compassion for all creatures through humane education. To reduce pet overpopulation by increasing public awareness of the need to spay and neuter companion animals. To build or otherwise acquire, maintain and operate a shelter for dogs and puppies. NCCR is located in Westfield, NY which is between Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY.

Fees
Adult Dogs & Puppies that have been altered, the adoption fee is $150 (includes spaying\neutering, license, age appropriate shots, microchip). If dogs/puppies are not altered, the adoption fee is $150 for NYS residents and $175 for out of state residents. The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, license and microchip (to be implanted by shelter staff when puppies are over 4 months). Adopter must sign contract agreeing to spay/neuter by 16 wks. of age. If a NYS voucher is provided, $30 will be refunded to adopter upon proof of altering. If out of state or a voucher is not provided, $75 is returned to adopter upon proof of spaying/neutering.

Licensing: All dogs/puppies adopted by NYS residents will be licensed at the time of adoption.
Senior dogs or special needs dogs are adopted out at a reduced fee or the fee is waived if an excellent home is found.

Other Departments
We try to match each dog with its new home so that chances for a successful, lifetime placement are much higher. Each interested party is asked to fill out an application. Once the application is completed, we interview the potential adopter.

All dogs over 16 weeks old are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Strict follow-ups are made to insure puppies are spayed/neutered when they reach 16 weeks of age.

Hours
Visitation is by appointment only; morning, evening and weekend appointments are available.
