94111 "Mae"! 94111 "Mae" "Mae" has risen above a horrific start in life. This emaciated, yet sweet Pit/Lab mix puppy suffered from a severe case of demodectic mange, virtually bald and covered with open sores. Demodex is a preventable and treatable skin condition, not contagious, but quite common in neglected short-haired dogs living outdoors. Last spring someone decided to dispose her. A cruel person stuffed her in a plastic bag and tossed her outside a West Babylon business as if she were trash. TLC began immediately at the shelter. With medicated baths, antibiotics, real food and lots of love, Mae began to transform. Her coat is coming back nicely; her sparkling spirit has begun to shine. Mae is now the shelter's "Ms. Congeniality". She loves people and other dogs. She plays well with others, so well, that she has become the reliable dog tester dog..In fact, she buddies up in the kennel, with another Pit-"Foxy"- her BFF. All positive changes...but most of all, Mae would like to change her address. She needs a loving forever home. Perhaps yours? Trust us, Mae will remember and appreciate everything someone nice does for her. Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed. Looking for a meaningful and lasting gift for a Pet Lover?
