Who We Are

The Town of Plattekill Dog Shelter is located in southern Ulster County, NY. It is a small shelter (only houses 5 dogs) within the town to accommodate stray dogs. If the dogs are unclaimed after 5 days of impoundment, they become eligible for adoption.

Adopting a friend

There is a $25.00 adoption fee and a license must be obtained. Also the dog must have a rabies vaccination and be spay/neutered if applicable. (REQUIRIED BY STATE LAW) Please call for an appointment and find a new friend. THANK YOU!!

Come Visit Us!

The shelter is located behind the Town Gargage on Route 44/55 in Modena. It is not accessible to the public because of a gate blocking the Town facilities. Therefore, an appointment is neccessary to view any dogs.
