Who We AreThe Stevens-Swan Humane Society of Oneida County is a private nonprofit organization that provides a safe haven to all unwanted , lost, abandoned, abused and injured animals. Stevens-Swan Humane Society accepts all homeless companion animals. At SSHS our mission is to protect the health and safety of both the animals and community members of Oneida County. All incoming animals receive health and temperament examinations, and treatment is provided for any illness or injury by our veterinarian and staff. Before a dog or cat is available for adoption they are given a well check, vaccinations, then spayed or neutered before going home. All animals are provided with a cozy bed, a comfortable kennel or cage, nutritious food, treats, toys and plenty of TLC by our loving staff. All animals must be adopted in person by the person that is planning to share the next 10 to 15 years with their new best friend. Volunteering and DonationsBecause we are a nonprofit organization we depend on the generousity of our friends in the community to help us make the animals' stay here as enjoyable as possible.
