OUR DOG OF THE MONTH: Bailey!
At 55 lbs and just over a year old, beautiful sweet Bailey is the best of two Great breeds, the Labrador Retriever and American Staffie... so full of love, loyalty and lots of good energy. Sadly, she has found herself in a home with older parents who realized she needed so much more than they could provide. Our trainer met her recently and was impressed with what a 'happy and well balanced dog' she was. Full of exuberance, Bailey would do great in a home that can give her what every young dog needs: basic training, appropriate play (not over stimulating), quality exercise and a fun and mentally challenging life. She has missed the companionship of other dogs and would also do great with older kids. Bailey has been to daycare and reported to have done well with other dogs there and comes home happy and relaxed. She's housebroken, crate trained, spayed and up to date on all her shots. If you would like to know more about adopting Bailey, please contact Beth at 347-242 0459 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Founded in Sept. 2000 Stray from the Heart is a non-profit, volunteer-run dog rescue organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of homeless dogs. SFTH has grown into a network of volunteers who donate their time, expertise and housing space to help abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs find permanent, loving homes.
SFTH is also a member of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, a collaboration between animal care groups and the City of New York aimed at developing creative solutions to local animal care and control issues.
To date SFTH has helped rescue over 2,400 dogs, all without the benefit of either paid employees or a dedicated shelter facility. We rely solely on the generosity of its volunteers, supporters and contributors for its continued success.
We are different from other shelter and rescue organizations in that we have the uncanny ability to continuously successfully match up pets and people. As desperate as our little ones are for a home, we will always hold out for the right home.
If you have room in your life for a new best friend, call 212.726.DOGS and speak to an adoption counselor/matchmaker today. Thank you for giving our Strays the chance to experience joy, love and a life beyond their wildest dreams.
