Delaware Valley Humane Society
May 15, 2012. Currently, we are asking for donations of bedding. We are very low. What we need at this time: Jeans, pants, shirts, sweatshirts, skirts, shorts, coats and jackets. Any clothing that you no longer want, we will take. Many are surprised to learn this, but we use clothing as disposable bedding for our dogs, and some of our cats. This makes our job much easier, because there is simply not enough time in our day to wash bedding for all of the animals. While you're cleaning out your closets, keep us in mind. Thank You!

The Delaware Valley Humane Society is a small, non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of homeless animals. Our mission is to provide food, shelter and medical care to unwanted cats and dogs and to find loving homes for them. Many of our pets are found abandoned, on our doorstep, or loose roaming the streets. Others are given up by their owners who no longer want them or are unable to care for them. Some are even rescued from inadequate living conditions and brought to our shelter to receive proper care.
Adopting a Friend
Shelter hours are: Monday-Saturday, 11:00-4:00, no adoptions after 3:30. Closed Sundays and Holidays.
All of our pets that are up for adoption are up to date on current vaccinations and de-worming. Some are already spayed or neutered. All cats are Feline Leukemia tested negative.
Adopting Process and Fees
The first step in adopting an animal from the DVHS is to fill out an application. This includes providing two personal references (not relatives), permission from a landlord to have pets (where applicable) and a veterinary reference if you currently own pets.
