The MCSPCA is a PRIVATE NOT-FOR-PROFIT organization that provides a safe haven for lost, abused, abandoned and unwanted pets. Currently the shelter can accomodate 21 dogs and 40 cats. We survive solely on donations and the goodwill of the community. WE ARE NOT AFFILATED WITH ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY AND DO NOT RECIEVE ANY GOVERNMENT FUNDING. Check our website: www.mc-spca.org
for the many ways you can make a much need donation. We seek to inform pet owners and potential pet owners of the standards for responsible pet ownership through various educational programs. We also conduct outreach programs such as our Domestic Violence Safe Shelter for Pets program with Catholic Charities of Montgomery County. We also have our Annual Prancin' Paws Dog Walk to intoduce some of our pets to the members of the community and have a lots of fun at the same time. The MCSPCA cooperates fully with local law enforcement officials in investigating cruelty to animal cases and assisting in prosecuting violators to the full extent of the law. PLEASE, contact your local law enforcement agency to report any suspected animal abuse.
