Adopting a friend
We thoroughly screen all potential adopters. We charge $160.00 - $400.00 adoption fee for all healthy mixed breed and pure bred dogs, $100 for cats and $120.00 for kittens. All our dogs and puppies are microchipped and all our puppies, dogs,kittens and cats are spayed and neutered. . Cats are also tested for Felv/Fiv.

Need help spaying and neutering feral cats? Then our new clinic can help. For $65 feral cats can be spayed or neutered and vaccinated at our clinic. The $65 fee includes a Rabies and Distemper vaccine. The clinic is open 3 days a week, including some Saturdays. Call us for an appointment at 631-473-6333, ext. 204. Castaways Lands in Port Jefferson
Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center opened up its pet retail store, Castaways, located at 25 Chandler Square in the village of Port Jefferson. The store will help Save-A-Pet spread the message of pet adoption as the best option to ending the plight of dogs bred in pet shops and puppy mills.
This unique pet store specializes in retail items for pets, as well as T-shirts and magnets for proud owners. Animals will also be available for adoption. All sales proceeds will go to benefit Save-A-Pet in helping the animals at its no-kill shelter.
