Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society Inc (PAWS)
Our Mission
Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not for profit, all volunteer NYS corporation which has been operating on Long Island for 40 years. We are working to create a better welfare system for all the animals in our communities. Over the years, we created, and continue to create, a number of valuable programs which serve to promote our mission to create respect for all animals, to educate individuals about animals, to help people keep their animals, and to provide assistance with the control of the animal population on Long Island. PAWS has many programs which are helpful in achieving our goals. Some of our programs include:
- Low-cost spay/neuter program
- Trap-Neuter-Return (“TNR”) Program
- Free spay/neuter program for felines
- Humane Education Progr
Adoption Policy
All of our adoptable animals are either in foster care or boarded at a facility. We welcome any inquiries on our adoptable pets. Please contact our adoption coordinator at adoptions@paws-li.org.
