Our Mission

Our animal sanctuary is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit, no-kill, boutique animal rescue organization. We offer a loving home and lifetime care for special needs cats and are happy to help you to place other animals, as well.

Some of our animal family are being fostered for people who are homeless. Others have chronic medical conditions or behavioral issues, or are too elderly for traditional adoption. We offer allopathic medicine, holistic care, and happy hospice, along with lots of toys, treats, and affection.

The sanctuary was founded in 2010 by Frederick Barnabas Bell. We adopted Frederick from a local food pantry, where he had been mousing for his keep after his mother died of cancer. His ailing health put him into retirement here. In no time at all, he became our beloved pet and mascot as we worked with holistic remedies that gave him a joyful life for three more years.

Frederick opened the door for others to follow. We are here to provide loving care for cats who are aged or ailing and in need of sanctuary. Our staff includes a Reiki Master, an herbalist, and an animal communicator, as well as our partner veterinary office.

Adoption Policy

Once you've met your new best friend, the adoption process is simple. You will receive an adoption information card to fill out.

Your kitty will have been pre-screened with a wellness visit that includes spay/neuter, vaccines, and FIV/FELV testing. The $125 adoption donation helps us to cover these costs.

Kitties love to play and curl up together, so if you don't already have one, we encourage you to welcome two into your happy home.

We offer ongoing support via phone or email. Please feel free to contact us with questions, concerns, or funny stories about your new family member(s)!

With a visit to the foster's home, you'll be able to meet each kitty in a comfortable, cage-free environment. This means that the location for each kitty will be unique.
